What Moses proclaimed to Pharoah is the very truth - ”As soon as I go out, I will spread out my hands to the LORD… the thunder will cease and the hail will be no more, that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s!” (Exodus 9:29) In fact, GOD created the universe and this planet by the word of His mouth: “By the Word of the LORDthe heavens were made, and by the breathof His mouth the earth is drenched in GOD’s affectionate satisfaction! Filled with galaxies and stars, the vast cosmos He wonderfully made. His voicescooped out the seas; the ocean depths He poured into vast reservoirs. With breathtaking wonder, let everyone worship GOD, this awe-inspiring Creator! He breathed words and the worlds were birthed. ‘LET THERE BE,’...and there it was -springing for the mo- ment He spoke...no sooner said than done!” (Psalm 33:6-9 TPT) GOD, through David, says this about His ownership of the earth: “The earth is the LORD’s and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it. He’s the One Who pushed back oceans to let the dry ground appear, mak- ing firm foundations for the earth.” (Psalm 24:1-2) What has GOD done in His mercy and grace? He’s given us the earth to watch over and maintain...we are stewards and “watchers” of GOD’s magnificent crea- tion: “The heavens are the LORD’s, but the earth He has given to the sons and daughters of men.” (Psalm 115:16) ...wondering if GOD’s creation -man - knows what a grave and yet triumphant responsibility being a steward of this great planet really is? And yet...we see pollution everywhere. Man has not been a good caretaker of his dominion. And yet...GOD is delighted in His children and His blessings over them is the result of what JESUS Christ has done. When we get into trouble (mostly by our own doing), GOD comes to our rescue, time and time again: “GOD answers you on the day you crash, the Name of the GOD of Jacob rescues you out of harm’s reach, and He sends reinforce- ments (Angels) from His Holy Hill; He dispatches fresh supplies, exclaims blessings and favor over your offerings, celebrates your sacrifices, gives you what you heart desires in order to accomplish your plans.” (Ps. 20:6-7) That’s the kind of GOD we serve! Our praise will never be wasted on our Creator GOD: “Our GOD is an awesome GOD, He reigns from heaven above with Wisdom, Power and Love, our GOD is an awesome GOD! And when the sky was starless in the void of the night, He spoke into the darkness and created the light! Judgment and wrath He poured out on Sodom; Mercy and Grace He gave us at the cross! Smith) “Let everything that has breath Praise the LORD!” Many of the people that you’ve seen in photographs, have no means of sustenance; they depend on Home of Refuge to provide them with bags of rice, potatoes, beans, sugar and other staples. Some walk from 4 hours away to receive this food that we have for them. There are 50 residents who now gather with us to praise the LORD and learn more about our LORD JESUS. Working together for the Kingdom in Peru, Tony & Rosa 2 3 Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the Nation whose GOD is the LORD!” “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” is a powerful phrase from a speech delivered by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775, at St. John’s Church in Richmond, Virginia, urging the American colonies to fight for their independence from Briঞsh rule. The speech was delivered during the Second Virginia Convenঞon, a ঞme when tensions between the American colonies and Great Britain were escalaঞng. The Colonies had been facing increasing oppression from Briঞsh authoriঞes, including taxaঞon with representaঞon and military presence in colonial towns. Patrick Henry, a passionate advocate for colonial rights, recognized that the ঞme for peaceful negoঞaঞon had passed and that armed resistance was necessary to secure liberty. Henry em- phasized the urgency of the situaঞon, staঞng that the colonies were on the brink of war. He argued that the Briঞsh government had ignored the colonies’ pleas for reconciliaঞon, and that further aempts at diplomacy would be fuঞle. Henry famously declared, “Give me liberty, or give me death!”, encapsulaঞng the senঞment that freedom was worth fighঞng for, even at the cost of life. He feared that the new Consঞtuঞon would create a powerful federal government that could threaten individual liberঞes. His opposiঞon was instrumental in the eventual adopঞon of the Bill of Rights (rights for every ciঞzen!). Henry’s eloquence and convicঞon not only solidified his reputaঞon as a leading figure in the American Revoluঞon but also inspired generaঞons to come in their struggles for liberty and jusঞce. His speech is remember as one of the most significant oraঞons in American history, reflecঞng the fervent de- sire for freedom that characterized the revoluঞonary movement. Henry’s life and contribuঞons to be celebrated as foundaঞonal to the American spirit of independence and democracy!
