It’s so easy to get offended in this world; there is so much verbiage and aggressive speech; Kimberly and Barbara take this on with JESUS’ life in mind. He never became offended…yes, He became angry at people’s habits and traditions that went counter against GOD’s ways, but He never showed anger of offense. So, we learn by this to put down offense in any disguise…go into the bathroom, run the water, soap your hands and push away unforgiveness, offense and anger, and as you let the water go over your hands, ask GOD to give you the love, Joy and peace of our Savior, JESUS Christ!

Derin and Barbara are talking about rebellion and grumbling that occurred in Numbers 16, and as a result many died in the wilderness. Derin brings us a truth that has been for thousands of years, “You can choose your sin, but you can’t choose your consequence.” GOD warns us about being deceived in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived, GOD is not mocked; whatever you sow, you will reap.” You can say Scripture and appear “holier than thou” but be warned against pride and bitterness in Hebrews 12:15. The aware of those behaviors that may ruin your testimony!

Trials tend to get us distressed and depressed. Kimberly is laying out a scenario that affords you Joy when you do come into situations that are stressful. She quotes Psalm 42:5, “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in GOD, for I shall again praise Him.” This writer is speaking to himself, and convincing his soul to trust in GOD. And that is something we all should be learning from Holy Spirit.

GOD wants no one to perish but to be born again according to John 3:3. So, our prayer for all people is that the LORD GOD will cause Righteousness and Praise to spring up before all the nations of the earth. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that JESUS is LORD to the Glory of GOD the Father.
