Kimberly – Trusting In a Burden-bearing GOD

Kimberly brings up the important fact that each of GOD’s children has different issues and are at different stages of the commitment to GOD. She brings up Psalm 68 that tells us that the LORD daily bears our burdens…the GOD Who is our Salvation. He is interested in each and every one of our desires. And it is a good thing to give thanks to GOD for hearing our prayers. Let’s stand up to our opportunities to do good!
GOD Is With You In the Mud! + That I May Know Him

Today Barbara is describing Jacob’s life as a husband and shepherd for his Uncle Laban’s flocks. GOD is working in Jacob’s life and he’s beginning to understand the plan for his life, by enduring 20 years under Laban’s cheating, and having 11 children by Leah and Rachel. GOD is maturing him and preparing him for the journey back to Canaan, where GOD promises to prosper him. As he is wrestling with the LORD at the Brook Jabbok, GOD is making a statement of renaming him ISRAEL and proving to him that He will be with him IN THE MUD of his life. When it rains, you have to deal with the mud.
JACOB – Was He a Deceiver Or a Supplanter?

Barbara is bringing up the transaction between Esau and Jacob in Genesis 25, that Esau freely gave his birthright of inheritance to Jacob over a bowl of lentils. She defines “deceiver” and “supplanter” and explains the details in giving over one’s birthright. GOD is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, whose name was changed to “Israel.” GOD looks at the heart of man.
Kimberly & Family Celebrating Levi’s 20th Birthday + Mark 4

Kimberly and Barbara are talking about growing up in the Faith, specifically trusting in the LORD JESUS, our Savior and LORD. We rejoice in Levi having his 20th birthday! Kimberly then turns to Mark 4:35-41, realizing that when we do go through a storm, JESUS is there to bring about Peace and help us to grow even more in the Faith that’s available. Stay warm!
JOB 40-41, “So You Think You Have All the Answers?

Today Barbara reads JOB 40-41 and talks about the pride that disrupts most intimacy between GOD and man…it’s a world of knowledge and because of that, man thinks he’s got the dibs on “smartness.” But GOD has an idea of freeing man from pride and that’s humility. Most of JOB is given to GOD correcting JOB, and then asking JOB to pray for his “friends.” JOB is a great learning experience. John Wells sings, “I’m gonna’ settle down and really get to know YOU1” The humble of heart are exalted!
GOD Is GOD Through All the Word Salads + Nt’l Football Title

Barbara talks about the National College Football Title between Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers, and how the Hoosiers came from a losing season to the best season. It’s so much like David vs. Goliath. We face those times of uncertain odds and that’s when we see GOD as our fortress, Deliverer and defender. In reading JOB 38, we experience expressions of GOD’s Power and Might; “In Him we live and move and have our being!”
GOD Has ALL the Answers (JOB 28) + “In the Garden”

After talking about the demonstrations going on in the U.S. and the enemy at work, Barbara gives I John 4:4, “Greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world”! Today we’re delving into the great and mighty Power of our Creator GOD; He knows all and has all the answers. He knows the heavens above and the depths of the earth. Barbara relates GOD’s majesty and yet lets the listener know that GOD wants an intimate relationship with them.
