The Winning Spirit:
1) Does not allow circumstances to dominate your attitude or spiritual mind set; doesn’t obsess on the problem but confesses the answer! “The mind set on the flesh is death, the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6
2) Takes on challenges as conquerable and temporary – a winner’s mind-set!
Do you allow a distinction or temporary failure to determine the way you see life from that point on? Is the prism of your life forever distorted by failure (i.e…. bankruptcy, divorce, low credit score, being dismissed from a job or ignored for a raise… ) Many highly successful people have bankrupted and gone on to great careers! GOD Himself divorced Israel – would we consider Him a failure? Never!!!
“Yea, tho’ I walk thru’ the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear, for Thou art with me…!” Ps. 23:4-5;
“I cast not away my confidence for it has a great reward!” Hebrews 10:35
“I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me!” Phil. 4:13 – The Passion Translation: “The Strength of Christ’s explosive Power infuses me to conquer any difficulty!”
3) Does not allow circumstances to define who you are! For example: Do you label yourself according to a condition in your body; Example: Do you say “I’m the diabetic” or does you tell everyone around you, “my arthritis” as if you own it or you’re unique, or accepting the disease as the main definition of who you are?
4) Does not allow the opinions of others to define who you are; you have not become what someone else has labeled you. Listen, read and confess what GOD sees in you!
As you focus on how your heavenly Father thinks of you by confessing winning scriptures, then the distractions of guilt, shame and failure will disappear. It has been my own experience, by daily practice to keep my focus of my dream in front of me. I push away the negative thoughts. Even David confessed in Ps. 43:5, “Why are you downcast or in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in GOD, for as I praise Him, He will be the help of my life and my salvation.” You are fearfully and wonderfully made!
If you want to be a winner in this life, you must not allow distractions or detours to get you off track from your goal. I have seen time and time again, when a person is going for the gold and someone comes along with a “no-fail, make-money overnight” scheme; don’t ever allow a “quick-fix” to interrupt and destroy your blueprint.
There are others, especially in the Body of JESUS Christ, who flit around like a butterfly saying, “O, I’m going to do this” or “I’m going to do that,” and never get anything accomplished. They get their kicks – their highs – from a new idea every other day but never follow through. They are sold out to the temporary rush they get, and then when it doesn’t work they say, “Why did GOD do this to me?”, blaming GOD, Who never was in on their deal in the first place.
Build up your prayer life and your goals on the following scripture:
Deuteronomy 8:18 – “But you shall remember the Lord your GOD, for it is He Who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day!”
“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have great success!” Joshua 1:8
“He knows the way I take and when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold….!” Job 28:10
“For it is You, O LORD, Who blesses the righteous man; You surround him with favor as with a shield!” Psalm 5:12
Can a person stand on scripture and win? Does Father GOD speak to His children today? Are there such things as super-natural laws that work above and are more superior than natural laws? THE ANSWER IS YES!
The natural laws must comply with the spiritual laws as GOD’s people stand and exhibit faith in Their Savior:
Mark 11:23-24, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever ways to this mountain (there may be doubt fear, unbelief, anger, unforgiveness in your heart), ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, it shall be granted him. Therefore all things for which you Pray and Ask, Believe that you have received them and they shall be granted to you!”
The Keys of the Kingdom, “Whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven!” Matthew 16:19; 18:18
Listen to what GOD wants for you… “How blessed is the one who finds wisdom, who gains understanding. For its profit is better than the profit of silver, and its gain than find gold. She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and ALL her paths are peace!” Proverbs 3:13-17
